Just a quick note to keep everyone up to speed. Tuesday Chris was at work and I was out in my car and it died in the middle of a busy street. The power worked, but the engine would do nothing. A police officer came up behind me, got to my window and -after listening to my explination- said, "You can't leave it in the street." Really? Hang on and let me stop oncoming traffic, push and steer in 3" heels. Anyway, I could not reach Chris as he was in confined spaces training, so I called my assistant principal and asked to borrow her husband. Eric came and stayed until the tow truck came and then took me home. We later found out that there is a fuse box in the engine and the "engine maintanance" fuse blew. Huh!?!? It runs the alarm, A/C, ignition, etc. So, she is running again. We are gonna gussy her up, take some pics and post her for sale! When we get this one sold, the search for the new one is on! Hope everyone had a good week. I will catch up some more this weekend.

Good luck!! I know you'll be glad to move on to something newer...
I'm getting excited about your big weekend in September! Any new updates there?!?!
I know what a harrowing experience that can be. I had a similar situation except that the location for my inopportune event was in front of a busy shopping mall on the day after Thanksgiving!! I had 5-year old Katie and my mom with me. It was before the days of cell phones and Steve was out in the woods chopping fire wood!!! Luckily for me a tow truck came along before the police got there. The driver of the truck told me that in a situation such as mine the police had a tendency to "write first, ask questions later"..... I wound up standing in the middle of an extremely busy street with my purchases of the day in my hands and no car anywhere around!! I know you are ready to find yourself a more reliable mode of transportation.
I'm with Katie, "Inquiring minds want to knos"!!!!
Love ya!!
I feel your pain. I blew a tire after midnight as I exited a bridge toll booth on the busiest road in our area. Nothing good comes from a car that you can't drive.
Love.
Glad you managed to get out of trouble! It seems like certain death when traffic is flying past and you are stuck!!
You might find that the correct replacement fuse will be fine for years, they have a limited lifespan. If you were running all the equipment at once on a very hot day that can do it!
Hope you stay safe in the future...
